My coaching for individuals and business promotes personal development, voice work, wellness and wellbeing. For individuals I help them make sense of their life and aspirations through understanding and developing conscious communication – i.e. communication with intent and purpose. I also coach singing in a similar way for people seeking personal development through musical performance.
In business I help teams to develop a way of collaborative working and communicating with each other that reduces stress, brings out the best in all concerned, manages conflict creatively, increases enjoyment, reduces costs and promotes organisational productivity.
All my work is underpinned by the principles of Conscious Body Awareness, a form of active mindfulness.
I am also qualified mediator, accredited by Regents College School of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Communication, Presence and Impact
Every day we spend most of our time communicating with people around us. Even if we sit ‘quietly’ working on our laptop we are giving off subtle (or not so subtle) messages about ourselves to those that see us. As the old adage says “we cannot not communicate”.
Research indicates that at any time most of us are unaware of over 90% of what we are communicating, or how our communication is being received. Whilst this may not be an issue most of the time, this lack of awareness can have a severe impact the way we are perceived.
From experience the majority of client meetings that go ‘wrong’, bid presentations that fail, sales that are lost, and grievances made, are essentially the result of poor communication.

Presentation and Performance
All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts…
William Shakespeare
A performance can be defined as a social interaction between two or more people where each individual adopts a role. Most of the time we adopt the role unconsciously and how well we perform our role will depends on our innate knowledge and understanding of what we are doing.
Most of the time we perform more than adequately to get by, however, sometimes we are required to perform outside our comfort zone – maybe it is a presentation/speech we have to give, or an interview we have to attend. In order to succeed we need to perform confidently.
“They stood in front of us looking nervous and ill at ease. It was obvious they hadn’t prepared. The introduction by their project manager came across as arrogant. He talked at us rather than to us. His team stuttered along reading off slides that looked as if they had been cobbled together five minutes before coming in. The project was worth £20 million. Although their proposal was good we didn’t feel we could work with them.”
A professional actor doesn’t wake up in the morning and decide to play Hamlet in the evening. Every performance requires direction and practice. Unfortunately far too many people and businesses believe they can do without either. Possibly they will succeed, however, they are reducing their odds of success. At worse they may suffer undue stress and ill health.
I can help you to define, develop and practise your performance in a way that is not only fun but enables you to achieve the results you desire.
Conscious Body Awareness
Conscious Body Awareness is a way of experiencing one’s self that enables the individual to improve their performance in all areas of their life whilst at the same time promote personal health and wellbeing. Specifically Conscious Body Awareness can help people develop:
